Jade earned her B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2012 and worked as a journalist in Charleston, SC after graduating from USC.

Wanting to be an advocate for others and effectuate change, Jade enrolled at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. While in law school, Jade competed as a member of the National Trial Team, served as an associate editor for the Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class, and served as president of the Black Law Students Association. Jade represented clients as a student-attorney in the Gender Violence Clinic and volunteered by mentoring local students and advocating for tenant’s rights. Jade participated in many internships, including positions at the Federal Communications Commission, Under Armour, and the Advancement Project. Jade graduated from law school with her J.D. in 2016 with awards in litigation and advocacy and public service.

Prior to joining Siegel Law, Jade worked as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Cathy H. Serrette on the Prince George’s County Circuit Court. Jade then worked as a policy analyst for the Maryland General Assembly in the Department of Legislative Services.

Jade enjoys reading books, spending time outdoors, and cooking. She resides in Laurel, Maryland with her fiancé and mischievous orange tabby cat.
