Background
Sarah Jacobs was raised in Maryland. Sarah began her legal career as a paralegal. During her employment, she realized she wanted to obtain her law degree. Sarah graduated from Villa Julie College, now known as Stevenson University, with her Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies. After graduating, Sarah continued her paralegal career and attended the University of Baltimore School of Law. Sarah was a paralegal for 12 years before becoming an attorney. During law school, Sarah was a student attorney for the University’s Family Mediation Clinic, where she represented clients in Family mediations and conducted mediations as a mediator. Sarah obtained her 40-hour mediation certification as well as her 20-hour child access mediation certification. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and son, Logan. She loves swimming and reading. She is a dedicated Ravens fan and loves football. She enjoys spending time with her family in Florida as much as possible and likes to travel.
Experience
After graduating from law school, and upon passing the Maryland State Bar, Sarah began working in an insurance defense law firm. Sarah soon realized that she did not want to do insurance defense work. Sarah worked as a family law attorney in Columbia, Maryland for several years. Sarah then went to Glen Burnie to work with a previous employer practicing primarily family law, but also handled other civil and criminal matters as well.
